Spectrum Health Products was set up by Paul Ashburner to manufacture and supply therapists with a massage medium that would be both economical and easy to use in clinical practice.

Paul, now a renowned Registered Osteopath, had then just qualified in Remedial Massage at the Northern Institute of Massage. He found that there was little or no alternative to the petroleum or lanolin based massage products on the market, other than the natural oils that came in bottles. These bottled oils were often found to be both messy and uneconomical to use in clinical practice.

Out of necessity for his own busy practice, he formulated the ideal massage medium, which was to become known as Spectrum Massage Cream. This product has now been in clinical use for over 18 years and is supplied to practitioners throughout the UK and Ireland.

Repeated requests from practitioners have resulted in the development of a range for specific applications based on the inclusion of aromatherapy oils recognised for their individual properties.
